Game on

Written by:

No one else clocked you on the way in,
But I did.
One glance and I took in
Love heart lips
Cat eye flicks
Leeloo orange hair
Turtleneck under A-line dress
Like a nineteen-sixties air hostess.

As we passed your table
I threw you a double take,
Eyelids lowered;
You’re too young to know
That oldest of tricks in the book
But later when you passed our table
You gave it a shot yourself
Fixing me with a pointed
‘I saw you seeing me and I see you back’
(more ‘flushed face’ emoji than temptress,
but adorable effort nonetheless).

Game on.

You shimmy to the bathroom;
I ‘happen’ to need to go too.
When you emerge,
Hands damp
Lipstick fresh
What do you know?
There I am in the dimly-lit corridor.
You raise a brow and a corner of mouth
(both on the same side)
Surprised (nervous?) your efforts worked.

Split second of indecision…
‘Fuck it’
I think as I lean in
and you melt in
Warm, wet love heart lips
Darting tongue
Fistful of hair
Fistful of ass cheek
Urgent thighs pressing…

The doors swing open
To admit the next busting patron;
We pull apart, breathless
Pretend to check our liptstick
Til he passes into the cubicle.
‘Is that your girlfriend out there?’
‘Yeah.’
“Hmm.’ One last apple bottom squeeze.
‘Have a good night, cutie.’
